British Motor Sport Legends 1 1

Description

Without a doubt, when introduced in the late 1950s, the Mini chanced the landscape of British motoring forever. Small, affordable, economical and incredibly cool (Paul McCartney drove one at the height of Beatlemania!)

& the 'wheel-at-each-corner' design made it an incredibly fun car to drive! Demand for more power was met when the legendary John Cooper set about producing the more sporty Mini Cooper which went on to win many trophies..& hearts!

The Jaguar E-Type (XKE) epitomised the style and flamboyance of the 1960s. Not only an elegant and luxurious sports car but one that also delivered on performance. Little wonder that the Coventry based British auto manufacturer then produced, in limited numbers, this car. Dubbed the XK-E 'Racing Lightweight' it beat everything else on the grid when first introduced. Even the legendary race car builders, Ferrari, were envious with their owner describing it as the most beautiful car ever made!
